The first issue of the International Journal of Engineering Simulation
(IJES) was
published in April 2000. To mark the first decade of IJES, the
Editorial Board agreed
to a Tenth Anniversary Special Issue. This also happens to be the first
Special Issue of
IJES. Selected authors were invited to comment on outstanding papers
published in
IJES in the last ten years that timely picked the applied simulation
research trends
during this time. They were also asked to, where possible, comment on
how the ideas
proposed in these papers had progressed since they were published KEYWORDS
